Me and my boy Marc punched mats for bass. We found them super shalllow and flipped heavy cover with Gambler Craw Daddys. Focused on matted hydrilla with clearer water inside from the main lake. Seemed like fish were stacked up on a 50-60 yard stretch. Got a ton of bites and caught one 5lbs thunker.

I love punching, heavy cover and fishing Lake Okeechobee is such a great oppurtunity flip for bass and fish for bass anywhere that i turning the cameras on was not an opion

Can’t believe this happened. Caught this 8+lbs bass on a crankbait longlining in cloudy weather. Saw the group of fish and lost it. This was literally one pass and caught a giant fish!

Within 3 days my little brother managed to catch his personal best bass and then break it with this 8lbs 15oz largemouth! What’s more is we caught back to back fish over 8lbs in 2 casts. This is one of those days when you know you have it dialed in. These bass were staging on a flat near a ledge and feeding up to spawn. There was a small group of fish but these were the biggest we caught. I was throwing a Sinking Bull Shad and my brother caught his trophy on a Gambler Lures JTK Hair Jig. I caught a 10lbs 14oz bass on a cranbait fishing in central Florida waiting for a friend. A pre spawn fish out in deeper water I fished the crank in a unique technique called longlining. Had an absolutely killer day fishing a hair jig on a super cold day in Florida. Caught around 25lbs of bass targeting suspended pre spawn fish in deeper water. Used a very light or soft rod – a 7ft crankbait rod paired up with 12lbs flourocarbon and and a Shimano 6:3:1 speed reel. The key was to reel the bait upward while slightly moving the rod tip in a flicking motion. Then let the jig pendulum back to the bottom without feeding it line. Here’s all the stuff I was using:

Had my littler brother down for some fishing and he caught his personal best largemouth bass at 8lbs longlining a crankbait. He was stoked and so was I but little did we know that PB would only last a couple days when we would double up on near 9lbs giants together. Want to step up the quality and content of your fishing videos – start shooting stock shots when you’re on the water fishing to tell viewers more about what you’re doing, how you’re doing it, why you’re doing, and just flat out make for a better story.

Always run that camera even when you don’t think it’s worth it – trust me it’s worth it and will come in handy down the road when editing!
