I always share secrets and YouTuber Bass Quest threw down on some advanced lipless crankbait fishing. One of bass fishing’s oldest lures, a lipless crankbait can catch them anywhere and at anytime. The key though is the style of bait your fishing and technique you’re using to fish it. Bass Quest runs through all the details he looks at in lure choice and lays out what he uses to catch bass all year round.

My first ever Michigan smallmouth fishing ULTRA CLEAR natural lakes on my fishing road trip to the north!!! Big thanks to YouTuber Benjamin Nowak for making this happen – it was a grind but that’s what makes fishing for bass such a passionate and emotional sport! Keys for the day were fishing hard baits rip baits however my first ever ULTRA CLEAR lake bass was caught on a Ned Rig right at the end of the day. It’s finally spring in Michigan and these fish are a pre spawn and staging to spawn mode.

Fishing lures like poop for catching bass – totally! The road trip continues with a twist on fishing lures for bass, rigging up, smallmouth bass techniques, and a plan for tomorrow’s trip to the lake! Totally epic bait shop wraps up with a giant Yeti Cooler and some secret fishing spots but all I can think about is smallmouth bass fishing – will the poop lure work?
