Lake Guntersville is renowned as one of the best bass fishing lakes in the country, offering incredible opportunities whether you love throwing chatterbaits, working topwater lures, or fishing with a worm. But this legendary fishery is facing a serious threat—grass management practices that could potentially destroy the very habitat that makes this lake a bass angler’s paradise.
In this video, I dive into what makes Lake Guntersville so special and why it’s a must-fish destination for every bass angler. I also explore the growing concerns about grass management and its potential impact on the lake’s future. As fisherman, it’s crucial that we stay informed and involved to ensure this incredible fishery remains vibrant for years to come.

I just realized you blur your screen(s). Smart! Also, I’m sorry – they are gonna f*&^ your lake up. Not to make this about me, but on a very, very small scale – we had a small lake by me that the local big-wigs decided was “ugly,” it was loaded with big bass up shallow. They added chemical(s), and now here we are 3 years later and my favorite bank-fishing lake is completely dead. There are ZERO fish where they used to be, and while the water looks “prettier,” it went from being a hidden gem to a worthless puddle.
This video you made is informative, it’s important, and while it is hard to get this type of content in front of people, I hope it reaches a lot and y’all speak out. Godspeed man!
