The bass that didn’t make the cut – the B Team from the single best day of fishing ever 49lbs 3oz. According to Phytobedo with all the fish caught we were looking at a near 100lbs day!!! Absolutely crazy!! Bait of the day was no doubt a mondo deep diving crankbait however also got to catch a 6 pounder throwing a huge Bull Shad Swimbait as well. The didn’t want soft plastics, theses big Florida largemouths were all about hard fishing lures, fished fast.

The most INSANE day of bass fishing ever – biggest set of 5 fish captured on YouTube ever!!! Cast to catch #RealFishing a 49lbs 3oz bag of bass on a public Florida lake – the craziest day of fishing for bass I’ll experience in my entire life. The hot fishing technique: all deep diving crankbaits and specifically the Strike King 10XD. Phytobedo and I have been doing this trip for years and we always talk about breaking his PB with a DD and it finally happened in probably the most EPIC day ever! Icicles in Florida? Winter fishing is the ideal time to go fishing for bass and target huge fish with crankbaits! I always try to mix in fishing tips and techniques and this is a big one when it comes to crankbaits and fishing plugs – it’s all about wobble, vibration, body shape, and in general – water displacement. I bought a bunch of stuff at Tackle Warehouse to show off what I’m talking about. Not every big, super deep crank is the same, and it’s the subtle differences that mattter. So on the coldest day this winter we’re going to break down the best crankbait fishing secrets I have and then head out to the lake on a freezing winter day when nobody goes fishing but the crazy people (i.e. me) – and yeah we catch a #thunkdonkey!

This bass is insanely huge – fishing for bass with crankbaits, a great winter fishing technique, this fish runs me nearly out of fishing line but I barely land here and call my buddy to show off because she’s that BIG! As far as fishing techniques are concerned using reaction baits during cold water fishing periods is one of the only ways to get them to bite – especially huge bass like this. For some reason when water temps drop into the 60’s it’s tough to catch big fish on most soft plastics. This is a great example of adapting to the conditions and targeting less but bigger bass to come up with a trophy fish in late winter/early spring in Florida!

I finally picked up my new bass boat and I can’t wait to get it fishing! We had the maiden voyage and got to see underwater bass on our trip to pick up the boat in North Central Florida. It’s all getting real! We passed through Silver Springs to pick it up and got some see some epic fish underwater on glass bottomed boats! So the new boat is home and the next step is to get her rigged out to be a fishing machine! Stay tuned! You won’t see her in the vids right away but I’ll keep you updated as the process unfolds and no doubt we’ll be shooting a boat walk thru vid once she’s all ready for the water! Insane – I won a new bass boat with a fishing video on Uploaded Fishing! But before all that went down YouTuber Benjman Nowak and I struggled catching bass through some crazy winter fishing conditions in Florida. The trip started off strong with double up 11 pound fish but it was all downhill from there…until day 3. No more ice on the boat, temps breaking 60 degrees, a mild night gave us a shot at one more big fish before we had to get Ben on a plane back to Michigan.

Fishing for bass targeting a PB in the Florida winter cold can be insanely epic when you have the fish honed in to a pattern! Took fellow YouTuber Benjamin Nowak to the lake for a few days while he was down from Michigan to target huge pre spawn largemouth bass. We had some trials and we had some travails and hands down this was our craziest day captured all on video! We lay out a few fishing tips and techniques for what to do when faced with a grind day of fishing and it all pays off in the end with Benjamin catching his personal best bass on a crankbait right after locating a school of giant fish on the sonar!

Winter fishing in Florida is probably the best time to fish for bass. Fish are eating for the spawn and also in a mode to feed up for the winter making fishing at it’s best. There’s a few fishing tips and techniques that seem to show off for huge fish this time of year and we highlight them in this video. From how to throw and umbrella rig and swimbaits to how to long line with crankbaits – I even lose a monstrous 9+lbs bass right at the boat!

Punching heavy cover flipping mats on Lake Kissimmee fishing for bass. This is winter fishing in Florida as bass move to stage and spawn while it’s snowing in the rest of the country. Thick grass like hydrilla, hyacinth, and pennywort attract huge bass this time of year and I love using the fishing technique of punching to target them on lakes like Kissimeee, Lake Okeechobee, and other shallow Florida natural lakes. This is part 2 of a crazy day catching a lot of fish including a near 7lbs bass even though fish seemed to be in a negative mood.

Weather was partly sunny lows in the 60’s highs in the mid 70’s. Fish are in a winter staging pattern moving up to spawn when the moon and the weather get right.
