FISH made him BLEED Insane PUNCHING for BASS fishing LAKE OKEECHOBEE

Fishing for bass is a contact sport on Lake Okeechobee and sometimes you end up bleeding from injuries – especially when you punching for bass! Well that’s what happened to poor Bass Quest when grabbing a 7+lbs Lake Okeechobee bass that I had punched out of heavy cover and he ended up bleeding all over the place! In summer you can’t beat targeting heavy cover using the pitching technique to present fishing lures to fish setup in water around heavy cover. When it comes to fishing techniques it’s one of my favorite and it’s such an intensely INSANE way to catch fish on any lake.

Key fishing lures were a punching rig with a Hawg Tech Tungsten weight and a Gambler 4″ Flippn Tube paired up with a 5/0 Owner Hook.

I DIDN’T CHEAT but I SCREWED up HUGE!!! Summer Spoon Fishing CHALLENGE

I didn’t cheat but this wasn’t supposed to be a bass fishing challenge with a spoon! I forgot all my soft plastic lures for offshore fishing so this turned into a hardbait challenge fishing for bass in summer! Which turned out INSANE since we landed over 30lbs of bass – MEGABAG and caught a 9lbs 9oz fish and my PB on a Nichols Ben Parker Spoon an 11lbs 6oz bass – HUGE! Summer can be a great time to fish for bass with hard baits since the lake water is super warm in Florida and fish metabolism is up. Reaction style lures tend to shine in that situation. Because these fish were suspended – up off the bottom – the spoon lure was perfect since it reaches higher in the water column and we were able to target the schooling fish – the lasagna – we were seeing on the sonar!

ROD and REEL Arsenal for FISHING for Smallmouth Bass

The fishing road trip is wrapped up and now it’s time to break down the patterns, baits, as well as the rod and reel arsenal we used to catch smallmouth bass up in Michigan! The pattern highlights really focused on 2 different baits, a jerkbait and a Ned Rig. I caught my PB smallie on the jerkbait right off the bait but when fishing Lake Huron got super close to beating it fishing the Ned Rig. These are a different class of smallmouth bass and triggering bigger bites was key in making this an epic trip. The break down and recap on techniques and everything we did and figured out when it came to fishing these giant spring smallmouth bass is layed out in the video. ULTRA CLEAR water FISHING NED RIG first EVER smallmouth BASS!

My first ever Michigan smallmouth fishing ULTRA CLEAR natural lakes on my fishing road trip to the north!!! Big thanks to YouTuber Benjamin Nowak for making this happen – it was a grind but that’s what makes fishing for bass such a passionate and emotional sport! Keys for the day were fishing hard baits rip baits however my first ever ULTRA CLEAR lake bass was caught on a Ned Rig right at the end of the day. It’s finally spring in Michigan and these fish are a pre spawn and staging to spawn mode.

If you’re crazy about fishing for bass this bait shop will make you drool. Franks Great Outdoors in Michigan makes me feel like a kid in a candy shop. Not to mention that before even walking in to the shop we met a guy that makes a crazy fishing scent and he threw Benjamin and I some swag to take smallie fishing. The road trip series continues as we get close to a shot at my PB smallmouth bass. This bait shot blew my mind though! PB Goosebumps ~ EPIC ROAD trip FISHING Kentucky Lake BASS

I have goosebumps from a totally unscheduled fishing stop on my road trip north at Kentucky Lake. Bank fishing for bass I managed to catch my PB spotted bass fishing a drop shot rig in a small bay right next to the dam. Headed on a road trip to my brother’s wedding and some epic smallmouth bass fishing in Michigan I just randomly stopped and got a hotel for the night down the road from Kentucky Lake, grabbed a fishing liscense, and went out OG style trying to catch my first Kentucky Lake bass – I would’ve never known it would be my PB!!! This is just the beginning of a road trip series chronicling my trip to search for my PB smallmouth bass with my buddy Benjamin Nowak. So stay tuned!

BIZARRE How Bass Eat This Bait ~ DIRTY 30 in the new BOAT

We finally broke dirty 30 in the new boat!!! And it’s bizarre how bass eat this bait but we did it with the Mag Ned Rig. Part 2 of an epic post spawn day on the lake fishing for bass, we rolled up on a shell bar early afternoon , wind started to blow, and the fish began to bite. Probably had 32lbs including a MASSIVE 9lbs+ caught on the bizarre but giant slaying Mag Ned Rig. They just eat that bait! Also caught some studs on the Neko Rig which is perfect for sluggish fish looking for a big meal with finesse during the late spring post spawn time of year!

Real Fishing CRUSH Post Spawn BASS

Real fishing at it’s finest crushing post spawn bass out fishing a local lake! When the pieces come together during the post spawn bass fishing can be epic! They did today not getting a lot of bites but getting the right fish to eat the crankbait and, as you’ll see in part 2, the mag ned rig. All culminating in a 30+lbs megabag. The post spawn usually crushes anglers but it’s one of those bizarre times of year that can group fish up who really need to eat following the spawning period. Focusing on the 2 ends of the spectrum – reaction strike type baits and super slow dragging lures seems to be key this time of year in coaxing big bass to commit.
