Swimsuit girl, she hates fishing. She comes fishing on the boat with me but never actually casts a fishing rod or catches fish so we are going to change that. I took swimsuit girl fishing to catch a variety of species of fish that all live in the river. In this fishing tips and techniques video I go though what the pros don’t tell you about flipping and punching for heavy cover bass in summer and fall. One of my favorite techniques to catch bass, I teach you what soft plastic lures to use, how to rig them for flipping, and what to look for when pond fishing or lake fishing to go punching for bass. It is one of my favorite fishing techniques and works great anywhere you have super heavy cover that mats up. It is also an epic way to catch bass – heavy fishing rods, heavy braided fishing line, and a heavy tungsten weight.

Fishing for bass on the weekend – especially on a popular river – means you’re going to have to deal with jet skis and total douche bags on the water. Still think it’s CRAZY how this jet ski cut me off running full wake thru a back water area – NOT SAFE!!!!!! That said we caught some bass targeting a local river in a high pressure period with a bunch of leisure boaters out. Goes to show fish will bite all the time just have work for it. Revealed a few fun techniques and tips here to focus on when heading to a local river to fish for bass!

It’s the final fishing tournament with the old bass boat before we move all the gear and graphs to the new Triton fishing rig! Fished a super clear lake with my good buddy Charlie who is a stick out there! Different format tournament than your standard fishing derby – got to sleep in and rig rods in the morning . Had time to shoot some video about the rigs we’re using out there too and what catches fish in super clear water situations during the transition between spawn to post spawn. But all in all it’s the final voyage with the old fishing boat. She will be missed but change is good! Can’t wait to get the new girl out there and break her in with some giant bass!

My boy and subscriber Brent catches a ridiculous PB out bass fishing with me – it’s THE ONE! This was a SUBSCRIBER trip test fishing for bass and it turned out insane! Could not of asked for perfect day, Brent scored a PB – personal best – and we caught it all on video. Aside from the huge bass we were also able to make a ton of catches on my new favorite finesse tackle – the Ned Rig. If the PB was ridiculous for it’s size, the numbers of bass we caught was equally epic. These schools of fish can be moody but when they are set up in such a concentrated pod once you figure out the right lures and presentation it’s game on for catching a ton of fish. Kind of a crazy day too as we had a front gradually passing through and it actually ended up colder at the end of the day then when we first got to the lake. The low pressure system didn’t hurt us and probably triggered a bit of a feeding frenzy for the bass as well.

Took an awesome SUBSCRIBER out fishing for bass and we crushed it. Caught my 2nd biggest PB fish EVER! The crazy part is how I caught her – I seem to have a reputation for catching giant fish on accicdent, you have to see it to believe it!

A little about the SUBSCRIBER: Brent is a family man from the west coast of Florida and Tampa Bay Lightning fan (double thumbs up there!!!!). Wanted to learn some fishing tips and techniques for searching for bass and catching them outside your traditional Florida fishing patterns…..and maybe bet a shot at a PB bass! He got super close to breaking his PB in this vid but you’ll have to tune in for part 2 to see if we shatter his PB with a giant Florida largemouth!
