The fishing road trip is wrapped up and now it’s time to break down the patterns, baits, as well as the rod and reel arsenal we used to catch smallmouth bass up in Michigan! The pattern highlights really focused on 2 different baits, a jerkbait and a Ned Rig. I caught my PB smallie on the jerkbait right off the bait but when fishing Lake Huron got super close to beating it fishing the Ned Rig. These are a different class of smallmouth bass and triggering bigger bites was key in making this an epic trip. The break down and recap on techniques and everything we did and figured out when it came to fishing these giant spring smallmouth bass is layed out in the video.
