I finally got my hands on the new 2026 Nitro Z20 XL and I’m already running into a big decision that could be a huge mistake if I get it wrong. In this video, I walk through the tournament rigging options I’m looking at — from custom boat colors to flooring choices (carpet vs foam) and the all-important trolling motor debate (Minn Kota Ultrex Quest, Power Pole Move, or Lowrance Ghost). I break down the pros and cons of each, but here’s the thing… I need YOUR help to decide. This boat is going to be with me in every tournament and every video next season, so your input is going to help me build the ultimate rig.
You want to know how I store 1000 fishing lures, fishing rods, and fishing tackle I need to fish the southeast? This boat walk through highlights some changes, upgrades, cam mods, and the most epic fishing lure storage and tips going in to 2020. An updated boat walk thru showing how I try to keep the baits that I need, the power that I need, and the vids that you love flowing by modding my bass boat. We talk about my Battle Born Lithium Batteries and why it’s worth taking the leap. Also have a new Yolotek camera mod I built inspired by my old design as well as seeing how Flukemaster had his boat set up while I was on Lake Chickamauga. Finally the most important part how do you stay organized with so much fishing gear when you’re travelling – I got a few cool solutions to make your bass boat more efficient on the road.
There is nothing for fun for an angler than exploring a fishing tackle store! We walk thru GTO – Guntersville Tackle and Outdoors just down the street from Lake Guntersville. Paul the owner is stocked up with Gambler stuff for the upcoming free tournament September 28th and there’s also a bunch of cool local fishing lures! One of the most interesting things I found was a topwater chopper lure I’ve never seen before from Jackall and a Megabass Big M 4.0 Crankbaits, a monster squarebill crankbait which I can’t wait to try out grass fishing!
If there is one fishing technique I love it’s flipping and punching heavy cover for bass. And right now on Lake Guntersville the mats are stacked with bass to target with heavy Hawg Tech tungsten weights, a heavy action fishing rod, and big braid. You can do it too by targeting matted vegetation on your home lake or body of water, all you need to do is find vegetation that makes a canopy for bass to live under. We go through how to catch fish in heavy cover late summer though fall and you’re going to love they way they bite !!!
I love exploring tackle shops in the U.S. so we stopped at Hammond’s Fishing Center on Lake Lanier and did a walk thru. This tackle shop is crazy – it looks like a log cabin and is piled high with fishing lures, fishing rods, and even crazy epic live bait tanks with Herring, Minnows and more!!!! Tim owns Hammonds and he’s a good friend so he tooks some time to walk us through the shop and tell us a bit about fishing Lake Lanier, spotted bass, largemouth bass, and local custom swimbaits that I thought were crazy cool!
You can find out more about this crazy tackle shop Hammond’s Fishing Center right here http://hammondsfishing.net/
Stay tuned for our next episode when we get out on the water with Tim for some bass fishing and fishing tips for Lake Lanier and catching magnum spotted bass!!!

A walk through the new Triton BASS BOAT before all the mods and fishing tweaks we’ll be making to get her ready for her debut out on the lake. This boat is rigged up already with power poles, a jack plate, a bunch of accesories – but I’m going deck it out exactly the way I want to fish it. Also need some advice on both the boat and looking for a new truck to do some mini adventures to shoot video fishing for a few days here and there.
